Within the past two or three months, a new fish ‘n’ chip shop has just opened down the road from me that not many people will know about, called Masala Fisheries. Albeit being very close to Killinghall Fisheries — easily one of the best places to get cheap, freshly-cooked fish and chips around my way — this little place really is in a league of its own. The “standard” fish ‘n’ chips are spot-on (and the friendly guys behind the counter tend to be very generous with the portions), but having sampled the “masala fish ‘n’ chips special” tonight for the first time, I have to say they were incredible. And at a bargain price of £3.80, I was even more impressed, and will be recommending this new place to everyone I know.
